A gnat had spent the morning buzzing through a meadow full of wildflowers. When he realized just how tired he was from flying about, he noticed a huge bull grazing amid the daisies.
“I’ll just take a moment’s rest on one of his horns,” thought the gnat, and settled there to catch his breath.
After a short while, he flew close to the bull’s ear and said, “I beg your pardon, Senior Bull. I am about to take my leave as I have many things to see and do. I hope that my weight was not a great inconvenience.”
“Not at all,” replied the bull. “I never knew you were there at all.”
